| Living alone is fine and fun, but I never ever realized how much I talk to myself. That is until this week when I lost my voice. Whether the laryngitis came about as a result of my cough or simply from yelling at children on the playground too much, my voice is completamente gone. I have never experienced the absence of my own voice to this extent. As some of you know, I teach Art to Kindergartners. On Monday it started to disappear. On Tuesday it was almost completely gone. Standing in front of different age groups of 23 wild children who could not hear a thing I was saying, I resorted to some new teaching techniques. I walked into the room, drew a chair on the board and wrote SIT DOWN. Then I would snap my fingers and point at the image when someone got up to run around. I had different students stand on their chairs, clapped patterns to get everyone's attention, and had them read the instructions aloud for the lesson. Luckily, the only thing I could still say was "Shhhhhhhh". Kindergarten was very hard though because none of them can read and they all thought I was making the whole can't talk thing up. It was interesting. I am supposed to stop talking for 24 hours if I ever want to see my voice again. In other random news, my return key on the keyboard stopped working, I decided to be a geisha for halloween, I am dying to see the ocean again, McCloud swallowed an entire rawhide bone and didn't die, and I miss Brandon. A lot.

| The new semesters beginning and all is good. I am doing a senior show of art work at the end of this semester of all dog portraits. Since Redhouse design is disbanding, I need to find a new location for my gallery. I want to find some kind of old warehouse or unique type of space that is easy for everyone to get to, and nice enough to use as a venue. Think think think... Tonight will hopefully be oh so nice. I rented a movie and made a pizza. Check out this gorgeous dog. This is the next one on my list for a portrait. Some men who own a business in Edmond were nice enough to have me come by to photograph her recently. The one below her is my Ruby from home.
she loves to jump up and sit in the sun by the window.
